Twotti Fruitti Tuesday

It's been all about the local county fair this past week. The child wanted to go, go, go to the animal barns all the time. She was partial to the bunnies but she loved going to them all. The neigh neighs, the moo moos, goats, sheep, pigs and then back round to the bunnies. Bunnies seemed to be her favorite this year. The local county fair has become a tradition in just three short years. I hope they don't misplace our photo op cause it has become one of our most favorite summer memories.

Twotti Fruitti Tuesday

In an attempt to keep up with regular posting I usually have a goal of a weekly post. In the past I have done Thursday Thoughts and Wednesday Words and, honestly, it seems like I did something else catchy like that but for the life of me I can't remember. Seriously, though, it may have even been on Adventures in Blue; our other life blog. Sooooo I am gonna go with "Twotti Fruitti" Tuesday cause ya know we have a two year old grand baby and her birthday party theme was Twotii Fruitti this year. If you are an IG person you can find me there at mogal65. I have been trying to do a post each and every day this year since her 2nd birthday that we get to spend with her. I have missed a couple here and there but I have mostly been keeping up! So anywho welcome to Twotti Fruitti Tuesday...stay tuned it will fun.

Travel North

As mentioned our travels have slowed down a bit but we still find ourselves on the road heading north. It's the trip we make to see the Bee. There are no words to encompass what this grandparenting gig has done to us.

This last visit was full of "animal fair" visits, through rain and sunshine didn't matter to her she just wanted to see the animals. So we did. Horses, cows, sheep, goats, oh the goats, I think they are her favorite. Bunnies, chickens, roosters, ducks, geese, pigs. Throw in a coffee shop trip along with a bike fair and it was a great visit!

Until next time little girl, until next time...

What a difference a year makes and oh, hey, Happy Birthday America!

It's been a full year since posting. We've been busy. Lots of changes. And as of late last Fall we are no longer full time RVers. No, no, no we did not get rid of our beloved ROADA. We do still plan to travel and we are in fact trying to get something built to house her. You see we became homeowners again. It's been about 9 years since we sold our last home and I guess that painfully expensive experience has faded and we had started looking when an opportunity arose near the end of summer we decided to see where it went. Lots could be said about this buy but suffice to say we did it and are hoping for better when and if we sell again. It's been odd in many ways being back in a sticks and bricks again after so many years in the RV. When you have lived in such a small space for so long having a lot of space is kind of frightening to be honest.

Becoming homeowners again was not a decision we made lightly. In fact, we had been on the fringe of being in the market so to speak for well over a year. Just keeping a pulse on what was out there in the area we grew up in hoping for the right deal/place to come along. It's not exactly where we would have chosen to be but it seems the best place to be for now. You see we are in the season of aging parents and with more hospital stays and doctor visits this past year then I care to count or remember it just made sense to have a more permanent spot for a while. So yeah it's just us over here being homeowners again.

Best part is visits from the daughter and family and having our own space, the Meadow. That has made the transition easier for sure. Oh, yes, this is what we refer to our new spot as...the Meadow.

Happy Birthday America! The weather was sunny and bright for the parade this year. Bee enjoyed every minute of everything that was going on. She was in a parade this morning and then we went to a parade this afternoon!
