Another MO week

We have just crossed off another week of family fun in MO!

And we have been busy...I do like busy, really I do, but my oh my it seems we've been really busy. It was another productive week for sure made even better with a visit from the daughter over the weekend. Always love it when she shows up :) Just a little glimpse into our life this week!

We relocated the pile...not exactly a fun chore but one that needed to be done nonetheless! Now we can burn it without fear that it will warp the new siding. Then we mowed and topped off our workday by weed eating.

There was work stoppage as the push mower would not stay running. I'm not gonna mention any names but maybe, just maybe someone might have gotten a little water in places it shouldn't have been when they washed the mower off after mowing last week.

MiRV mows over at the Grands...very much appreciated by them!

Gunner gets a training session...we'll see how this goes as MiRV continues to work with him over the next few weeks.

Friday night under the lights with the family!

Got to hang out around the campfire Saturday night.

The Grands and the Buds before they left.

With us before they headed North.

Another week in which we were busy and blessed.

Busy Days

It's been a busy few days since the daughter left. We've done lots of yard work from mowing to weed eating to hauling off old mowers to tree trimming to weed eater repair to brush hogging to more mowing to wheel replacement to weed spraying to belt replacement to more mowing. Like I said it's been busy days! But good days, thankful we have the time and energy to be helpful. Life is good!

Pictorial note - Old uniform pants can come in handy when you have gas all over your other clothes and nothing else to wear! LOL Glad they still fit and he even went out in public in that get up for the rest of the evening.

Just a blur!

We arrived back in MO and then just a few days later the daughter came down!!! And then it seemed like I blinked and she was leaving to go back home...it's all been just a blur!

There was lots of visiting, eating, running to and fro, eating, trampoline jumping, eating, laughing, eating; well you get the idea!

We didn't take a lot of photos (maybe we were too busy eating!) but there are a few. It was a most wonderful visit. We sure love that girl.

The Littles were pretty impressed that I got on the trampoline with them!

And then we had this...

I could go on and on, this store was just full of whatever you could imagine. We could have spent hours there. However, we had just happened to stop in last night after dinner to kill some time before we figured out where we would park for the night. We settled in at KOHLs, a first for us, and for the most part it was good. They turned out the parking lot lights and store signs at 11:00 P.M. so that was nice, road noise was a bit loud but we managed.

Outside of JAX Mercantile

So here we are this morning sitting at the MB dealer for the long awaited for A Service, Loving the amenities, especially the wifi! Took a bit to get in for an appointment especially since we weren't exactly sure when/where to schedule but it all worked and we will be rolling east before the end of the day. Looks like we might even get to squeeze the daughter for a few hours on our way.

Hanging Around

Getting a hammock has been on MiRVs wish list since forever, well, okay, a long time! This weekend we were at REI and his wish is now a reality! He likes it a lot! He says he wants to sleep in it at night. I'm thinking no. However, I told him to go for it! We'll see! We are still in bear country so maybe he should wait until we are at least clear of bears before he does that.

Helping theBuilders

When we stopped by the Park we weren't exactly sure what we could help with but we knew we could do something!

We ended up helping out on a few fronts. MiRV assisted in the running of the comm for the house. He also helped to get the fridge to the BIG house.
That was fun to watch as they made their way across on the moving track!

I did some picking up, cleaning, moving around and such. Right up my alley! I'm not too technical so grunt work or menial tasks work well! Okay, I did some bird watching, too. They had a pretty mountain bluebird who was a chunk! Also saw a hummingbird and various other flying friends I have no idea their names.

We also learned a bit about guineas. Did you know they get pasty, poopy bums when they are little so you must do daily bum checks. Yep, tis true! So this was a truly educational visit in addition to a help out visit...seriously, you have NO idea how enlightened we became! It's always an adventure to meet up with these folks and educational, too, they are just cool like that!

Park Views

The last couple days we have been hanging out with theBuilders; the views from their homestead, ohmygosh, they have been amazing. We have enjoyed our surroundings, a true feast for our eyes. And it was impossible to adequately capture with a camera! It was an ever changing landscape; the sunrises and sunsets were something to behold, literally...just reinforced knowing that their is a Creator of this space we live in.

Anyway, we really enjoyed our time at the Park these last few days!

Tomorrow I will report on other aspects of our visit. You could say Stumble
n Bumble were gainfully employed again!
