Sensationally Six

Got our crew arriving tomorrow for the big boom holiday. So many choices to get in the celebrating spirit it is hard to decide where to go and what to do. Gathering with the famdamily will be Friday, probably will participate in the Stonegate Parade on the 4th but we are undecided on the 2nd as there are two great options, then we may just take the 3rd off and get back into celebrating on the 4th. We will also be trying to hit the farmer's market and hope for peaches and produce if not maybe we will run up to the Amish stand north of town.

It's been hot but Sunday was absolutely not and gorgeous and we enjoyed some patio time as well as biking. Monday we biked again all the way into town to the post office. It's been a slow week, I've been scrapbooking again but still feel so far behind and overwhelmed with all that needs to be done. I've made a plan but not feeling like it will be done very quickly and put that with life goes by everyday so will I ever get caught up???

Happy Early 4th to you and yours!

Sensationally Six

The 60th birthday Kansas trip, which we dubbed the "water tower tour" was a success. You only turn 60 once and she wanted to go back to her roots. We not only took the back roads we took our time and enjoyed a slow laid back pace. It was quite a good trip. We also hit the birth towns of the other Kansans.

No pic of her hospital because it is now apartments! But still showing up for Kinsley.

Representing Phillipsburg and Topeka!

Then we made it back so we could join in on the B. I. G. 2 celebration! FUN stuff!!!

Daniel Tiger is his favorite!

And let's not forget Father's Day...it was a bit of a weepy one for me. However, we still went out to lunch and had ice cream to celebrate MiRV. The Northern girl rocked a tournament over the weekend. They did well and she had a good time, she is making lots of improvements since playing with this team.

The water towers across small town America are neat to see and we made a point of looking for them in each little town we went through. I leave you with a small sampling of the ones we saw...

Gonna be a hot week, stay cool out there...

Sensationally Six

We returned from the North late Sunday evening. Stayed longer to see the Bee in her Vacation Bible School Program. What a joy that was...and wow what memories were brought back to when her momma did the same!

After lunch together we headed home. Nearly went bankrupt filling the van up after driving back...

I'm somewhere in Kansas today. The Sisters and I are on a girls trip. MiRV is holding down the fort at the Meadow. Probably enjoying some downtime but perhaps he is getting some chores done. It's been a heat wave this week with super hot temps. Hoping for relief soon!

Sensationally Six

Company for the double birthday was here this past week...we did the rodeo and partied at the farm to celebrate our newest O.N.E. year old and 14 year old. Ice cream cake and confetti cake, lots of balloons and yummy food. The rodeo was a hoot with our Northern girl who "rode" on her parents laps most of the night.

Rodeo babies getting some love!

BIRTHDAY GIRLS!

And the stone has been set at the cemetery. It was nice to see it placed but also hard to see it there...

We are actually on the road today headed up to see a ballgame for our Northern girl. She will be surprised when she finds out we are there.  We will see her a few days before heading back to MO.

Sensationally Six

Sensationally Six...well, actually today is 36, yep, unbelievable right? MiRV and I are celebrating 36 years of marriage today. Seems impossible but yet here we are. Doing life together, weathering the ups and downs and all arounds and the best part we still enjoy doing life together. And, yes, we do do life together, we are together more than apart. And honestly, I do observe others. I see many who just never seem to be with their spouse no matter where I see them. I mean how does that actually work? We do things together daily, we o things together apart, too, but more often then not you will find us together. Now don't get me wrong, some days the road we travel is bumpy and maybe I'd prefer to be a part, LOL, but for the most part it's been a mostly smooth ride and being together is good, very good. And it's not always easy! I've said it before and I'll say it again marriage is NOT for the faint of heart. It's darn hardwork, H.A.R.D.W.O.R.K. but oh so worth it if you can figure it out. We've had such a blessed life for sure!

The day. it officially started!

This would be the result of our 36 years... so very blessed.

In the last 36 years we've made our home in 15 houses and two RVs...we aren't finished yet. In fact, if MiRV has his way we might be sailing into the sunset someday, literally.

At Big Ben in 2019

Being silly for the Bee's sake, she's a unicorn lover 2017, maybe.

It was really hard to find pics of just the two of us for this post. I think I must need to snap a few more as that's just not right. Plenty of us and a certain little girl though and some group shots but I had a really hard time finding pics of just the two of us. And there were no real big plans for today. We are going to the City tomorrow so may have some cake...today's splurge may of may not have included a cinnamon roll and yesterday we kicked off this palooza at the Grill. Lord help us by Friday!

Hopefully, soon, for MiRVs sake we will take off in ROADA and call it an anniversary trip. However, with the price of gas I'm having a hard time with that notion.  No matter you'll find us overhere hanging out together! Happy Anniversary to us!
